Mosby Group Music Book Now Listen Now
The most recent Mosby Group compositions are very similar to the Return to Forever sound with Flora Purim. Instruments include: Carl Caspersen - bass, Ron Carr - drums, Henry Claude - percussion, Jesse Gannon - pno, myself - guitar and special guest Cara Dineen - vocal. We make full use of the massive drum/percussion sound and scored new music for the vocalist which has her functioning as a beautiful blend instrument to the group in addition to moving her out front to carry tune like Jobim’s Waters of March or the Billy Holiday off ballad Don’t Explain. Purple Cloud is a recent composition of mine which starts off like a Mike Stern ballad and rolls into a Mosby version of Little Wing complete with vocals.
When a person walks into a Mosby Group concert, they will be greeted with a warm welcome and we take them on a musical journey filled with magical moments. We go from great musical compositions to catchy radio songs to high energy burns to touching ballads with a message to fun songs which include audience participation, mix in instrumental musical moments and end with a close which builds to an high energy climax. We know how to use the stage, work the visual angles and break out interesting parts of a song so it becomes easy for audiences to relate. Each tune sounds different and looks different. The compositions and songs are well placed, arranged and charted.
Whom ever is interested in hiring Mosby Group for a live performance will be assured that we know what works to generate a great show at every level. We have a vision for the evening which has been studied, tested and well thought out. Our shows produce memorable moments which will transform people by the end of the evening, leaving them feeling inspired or changed in some way for the better than when they first walked in the door. That is what a great show does, why people come to a live performance and that is what I work to achieve with my compositions.
